Deutschland should always be reckoned with. They were impressive during the 2008 Euro tourney.
Solid defense, and a few really good strikers. And they have a tradition of going really far in the World Cup (alongside Brazil they're the most winning team ever in the World Cup).
Expect them to get to at least the quarter or semi final, anything else would be a sensation really.

I am really surprised how much I am enjoying soccer. How the heck do you follow this sport when it is not covered like this? I can't see being interested in MLS.
It is in fact covered really well over here. Even qualifying matches, qualifiers for the Euro 2012 start this autumn.
And then there's the English Premier League. Norway even has great Premier League coverage.

I thought this might be a tough game for Germany..but they've made it look easy..even before that red card (crap decision)....Germany look like a serious contender..as usual.

By far the most impressive performance so far in the tourney imo.
Definitely a candidate for medals. Solid.
