The World Cup Thread.....

Italy sucks.
Good on the fuckers.

Rooting for our southern neighbours Denmark tonight. :)
Since Norway and Sweden didn't qualify, they're our hope. :embarrassed:
They might be able to handle Japan. :thu:

Cameroon Holland should be a good one. I just hope Holland don't put out a diddy team since the result doesn't matter to them.

Apparently Holland is playing with all their best players (except Robben, who's on the bench). Always nice to see teams not saving all their best players. :)

North Korea getting schooled again.....maybe Brazil just played bad the first match. I would not want to be around when they return home. The national media there did not even report on the Portugal match. Two thrashings in a row now should get the coach a couple years in a labor camp.

As much of a tool Kim Jong Il is, I seriously doubt the players are going to be marched off to a gulag or have car batteries hooked up to their balls when they get home.

I was stretching the point for dramatic emphasis, but given the track record of the country (5 - 10% of the population in work camps) and the oriental view of honor and shame, I'm thinking that the coach and team will be in pretty deep trouble. Not torture really, but probably loss of status (ie. losing a nice apartment, income, job) and a threatened very dark future if a word of how badly they really did is uttered from any of their collective lips.

Some great football by Chile...and two fantastic finishes by Spain who really don't deserve to be 2-0 up...some of the Chilean tackling though.....lucky to only have the one red card.

I have been rather proud that the England's fans seem to be the only one's capable of drowing out those fucking horns with their singing :thu:

I noticed that, it's pretty awesome. So can you give us a traditional English supporter's football chant then? I have no idea what they're singing, so I'm sitting in front of the TV going;

<clap> - <clap> - <clap><clap><clap> - <clap><clap><clap><clap> - <clap><clap>
"You're gonna get your fuckin'ead kicked in"

I think I got that from some punk tune...

Regardless of the goal that didn't stand...England were embarrassingly shit. If we'd somehow managed to fluke past the Germans, Argentina or Brazil would probably have scored 10 against that defence.

That was a woeful performance both up front and in defence.

Capello is a fucking clown. We need 5,000,000 goals, I know, EMILE, GET WARMED UP SON!!!

Even if that goal had stood I still reckon the German's would have put England to shame.

Well deserved win for Germany, although England was a bit better than the result says.
How the fuck the ref/linesmen didn't see that was a goal has to be one of the world's greatest mysteries though. Unfuckingbelievable.

Capello will be jobless within a few days I think. He just doesn't have "it" for leading the team in a tournament like this.
He should go back to managing a club in Italy, suits him better.
His substitutions are weird.

"Ok, we're 3 goals behind. Let's take off the 2 players that have been quite good in our attacking play". Yeah, that makes sense.
And why he's insisted on using Rooney, Barry and Heskey when all 3 have been absolutely horrible in all the matches baffles me, to say the least. :embarrassed:

On the other hand, Mesut Özil. Damn, what an incredible player.
I'll be shocked if he's not in a way better club than Werder Bremen before season starts up in England. :embarrassed:
