Quarantine fitness jam

Took a rest day yesterday but hit the basement gym again this morning. Did my "meat and potatoes" workout.

3 sets bench press
3 sets bent over rows
3 sets military press
3 sets curls
3 sets squats
3 sets situps

Side note...I find I'm a little weaker on the weights first thing in the morning versus later in the day. Is that a normal thing or just me?
Running first thing is always fine.
I'm the same. But for me it has to do with not eating first. I worked out first thing this morning before breakfast and just didn't have any energy. I won't do that again.
Today was a push day.
4x8 Bench Press
4x8 Military Press
3x8 Dips
3x8 Arnold Press
3x12 Chest Fly
3x12 Cable Crossover
Tomorrow is a pull day.

today was exploring some new running routes in the city with fewer people around. running through less economically privileged parts of town is proving to be good for this.

Do you prep on the bench with a bar with no or little weights? It’s better than doing it cold.

I usually warm up with a few push ups and then the first set of situps, then start with the weights.
Eating a banana first helps some

Walking, mostly, Putting in time on the treadmill when it isn't raining, and the wife and go to the beach every Sunday morning and put in a couple miles on the sand and in the water, rain or shine.

Need to get back on my weight bench, but it's on the back deck with the treadmill, under a tarp right now. I have to ease back in to it. Last time I did, I went full weight and pulled a muscle in my back.

I'm still working and commuting, but since my afternoon commutes are 50 minutes instead of 1.5 hours, I have a little extra free time. I've been taking walks when I get home from work. It really makes me feel better, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Kill it softly mah dude. Lifting somewhat lighter weights is light years better than lifting none at all. And you'll be up to full power in no time. :dude:

Just got back from a good run. Cool and misty here today, which is my favorite type of weather for running. Finished the normal route in great time and added another 1 mile side loop. Showered and shaved a 1 week beard. Feeling like a million bucks

I only went for a short one today (planning a longer one tomorrow), but it was nice and grey and drizzly here too, which had the added benefit of making it easier (less dodging into the street) to maintain a good distance since there weren't many other peeps out and about

Lack of other schmoes out on the sidewalk is my favorite part of running in this kind of weather. Plus I think it's less dehydrating - cool so you dont sweat much but damp so you're not exhaling a lot of moisture either. But warm enough you can wear lightweight clothes. And theres no sun glare. And its not exactly raining so your shoes dont get wet. Plus it's usually calm on cool misty days (no headwind.)

It's all little stuff but it really adds up.

Today's longer run was grey and drizzly AND super windy, so I basically had the streets to myself. It was awesome.

I hit it hard today. 4 mile fast running pushing the jogging stroller this morning. Weight routine this afternoon

Weights went really well today. Maybe cuz it wasn't first thing AM. Maybe cuz I put on some first rate nihilistic punk rock ( bad religion) and just let it feel good to feel mad for a while.
