Shooting at Jason Aldean show in Las Vegas, 50+ dead

so apparently the gunman had 10 rifles of which he just checked into the hotel room with or at least walked through the lobby carrying multiple rifle cases.....

I've been considering writing a song, "Thoughts and Prayers", about the scripted, automatic sentiments by politicians.
Today might be the right time for the song. :( I bet Gary could do a better job than I can with the lyrics.



When will the media and politicians start calling this what it is, a terrorist attack? This is America's 273rd mass shooting of 2017 alone, more than all of the rest of the developed world combined.

OTOH, today is the 275th day of the year. If the USA wants to keep up with the world (literally), we need at least two days of multiple shootings before the end of the year. Since this is the USA, I know this is a highly achievable goal.

But there is an "excuse" there: they are embroiled in a civil war and such things are to be expected in a war.

Wow, this is just awful news. I am really at a loss for words. I'm sad, I'm angry, I'm confused.
 
Apparently, a gal about my age (mid-50's) that I work with was there, according to some of my FB friends. They are saying she is fine, didn't get hurt.
 
This is just horrible.
I just heard on the radio the shooter converted to The Religion of Peace a few months ago.

ISIS already is trying to take credit too.
We'll see what comes out of the investigation
I am thinking it was just old fuck.

obviously something was very wrong with this guy, in spite of his family members claiming it's a complete shock to them.
nobody gets a hotel room on the 32nd floor, directly over the concert and brings 10 rifles and hundreds of rounds on a f'ing whim.
