Got out to the range today and hit a bucket of 7 irons (a few of which were effin majestic).

NEW Callaway 3 wood (metal)
and i'll take the 6 iron for a few.
practicing hitting the 3 metal off the grass, because that's what i really need it to do for the par 5's.

on and off rain on saturday and an over night low of 28 for the start of sunday. won't get to 45 til the end of the day.
not playing in long johns. and besides, it has rained almost every day this week, or overnight. the courses around here a nearly navigable.

Mojo. Send some of that rain down here, please. Although the dry conditions mean tee shots roll a long way...
2 18s and a few 9s. Mondays round is VERY aspirational given there's a big football game on Sunday
Ideally I want to get a full 18 in every week I'm working and 2 during the school holidays but we'll see. My membership limits Saturday tee offs till late afternoon and Sundays usually= wanting to chill / go for a few beers if I've been gigging.

Played 9 on a lovely mild spring night there.
Best bit of driving I've done round the course by far. Hit one dud which was salvageable, the rest were decent to fantastic compared to what I usually hit off the tee.
Hit A LOT more of the fairway than usual but that leads to the issue where my 3 wood is needing a lot of work. I ended up using my hybrid and 5 iron off the fairways because I was topping every shot with the wood.

I've absolutely no confidence with it. I'm mad busy with far away gigs between now and Sunday but if if I can muster the energy (unlikely if I'm being honest) I'm going to spend an hour in the practice cage on Sunday hitting the 3.
