sorry to hear that.I have that driver, but I struggled to hit it well.
btw....which mavrik did you have?I have that driver, but I struggled to hit it well.
didn't play real well. a few holes were good, 2 were very good (for me). first time out with the new driver and i'm still figuring out how to swing it. it's noticeably different than the one it replaces. but i got a few pretty good drives with it.well.....off for another torture session.....
i have a 3 hybrid that i don't get along with so well. my 3 wood and 5 wood get the grooves played off them, tho.Been choosing my hybrid over the 3w and getting much better results so off to pick up a Cobra hybrid from someone on Facebook tomorrow.
Of all the club's I've had a swing of in the pro shop, these Cobras feel the best and it's a cracking price for what by the pictures looks in really good condition.

if i'm in short rough, i'll use either 3 or 5 depending on the distance. but i really like them off the fairway.I play ok out the rough on the 5w bought I'm absolute dog shit off the 3w unless it's off a tee.
that's why a lot of Jr. sets are 5 ,7, 9, PW/SW, Putter & 3wood. kids can't hit a driver starting out, so why make that a choice. when they can pound the 3 wood, then get them a driver.Been watching some more golf sidekick videos to break 100. Pretty good ideas on how to play like a layman, not a wannabe Tour Pro.
I'm only taking out the hybrid, 7, PW,SW and putter on Wednesday as one of his videos suggests to see how I get on with less decisions to make.
That was fun today just taking out the handful of clubs. My striking was the best it's ever been and I was definitely more consistent. My course has an opening par 5 which I managed in 7 (so a "par" according to golf sidekick), more often than not I'm hitting double figures on it and even a couple of holes where my drives were horrible (one I had to take my 2nd from literally the middle of the adjacent fairway) I managed to pull it back with the hybrid.
Another pal joined us who is pretty good.
He gave me some pointers and also said I was night and day from the driving range last year when he thought I'd never be able to hit a decent ball
