Olympics stuff. In here.

I saw the Katie swim. It was the most amazing Olympic performance I have ever seen. She finished half a pool length ahead of everyone else. An amazing performance.
yea......and her coach told her before the race to 'take it easy until that last 200'
right.

Gawd! LeShawn Merritt is a stud in that 400 heat. He was just jogging for the last 150 meters and was out in front. I love track!

Cycling - something US Olympics coverage doesn't recognize. They showed the road race at the beginning of the games, but I wanted to see Cancellara's gold medal time trial, and Bradley Wiggins gold on the track. I did see local Arcadia CA girl (I went to Arcadia High School) win badminton. What a silly game.

You didn't miss much in the time trail to be fair.

The 'On Demand' style coverage on cable this year has been a vast improvement over the last summer olympics. I got to watch a lot of the shooting and archery events this year, which in past years has been impossible, as we needed lots of coverage of Michael Phelps' bowel movements and how that might impact his chance at a medal, and sappy backstory pieces on some gymnast from a rough city that found salvation in athletics.

well phelps and company has done it again.
he says he's done. we'll see. he has a family now, a kid, maybe he can walk away from it all and just be a dad.

The Olympics are proof that Norwegians need snow to win gold medals.

Our only hope now is that the women's handball team can go all the way to victory. Sure, it's a long way to a single medal, but such is the world of sports.
