Official MWGL Stoopid Dealz of the Day Thread!....

Gold hardware fail but otherwise pretty tasty! Looks like that has the filter'trons, too...
The description reads "proprietary humbucker." But, I recently priced out Filtertron's at a Gretsch dealer for $119 each. It might require the cost of TV Jones adapters to make them fit. But, the end result might be close to sounding like a Pro level Gretsch for a fraction of the cost.

It's a Black Top Filter'Tron and "proprietary humbucker" further proves that MF/GC has run out of gearheads to employ.

Keep your eye on Reverb. Those BT Filtertrons get pulled out of fresh guitars often and get sold as a set fairly cheap. I'm only not linking anything to you because I feel like I recall you needing gold ones and everything is chrome at the moment.

Some people would call that a good start.

I wish the hardware on my low end Gretsch was chrome. I’m not a big fan of gold hardware, particularly, the way it ages.

Still, I may spring for a pair of Filtertron pickups at some point. I’d prefer to pay less for used. Somehow, I doubt used are commonly listed. $240 a pair is not too crazy for new, all things considered. Plenty of great pup sets cost more.

GFS sells Filtertron to humbucker adaptors for much less than TV Jones. They are very simple to use.

I’m passing on the Gretsch. I thought it was black and gold on my phone. But blue and gold is too Weblos for me.

Pair of guitar stands. Come on.... you should have your best deals on Fridays!!!
Damn, they're not even the cheap, old-style On-Stage stands, either... If it was a couple of them for $20 I'd be in, because I do actually need a couple, but that's more than I need.

They are decent. Not worth $25 each but, what is these days.

I bought one!

I tried to check out on my own but the system showed I’d be charged $420. So, I called MF. $210 with tax, free shipping. I hope it’s not total junk.
Nice, I like it. Let us know how it turns out. Interesting that there is no back plate for the bolt-on neck. I'm guessing there are some sort of ferrules in there to give it something to "bite" into. Gives it a clean look on the back.

Somebody on Facebook is asking $450 for the single pickup version so obviously I got a good deal and made the correct decision.

Now I need them to do a deal on a bass case. I have four basses and no cases.
