All this time I was picturing younger, biker type assholes. These are old fat guy assholes.
Hard to imagine them even listening to music, let alone loud music.
You should have arranged a Weinstock music and ass-kickin' weekend. I'd drive four hours for that.
 
The last month or so they've really tried to be nicer neighbors. It's still been a drag having them there and there has been some arguing and a 911 call when one of them had a detox-related seizure but all in all its incredibly sad to see someone sell off all their belongings and leave their home.
 
We fired a guy two weeks ago who is one of the biggest pains in the ass you could ever meet. He pissed off clients and potential clients to the point he'd become a liability. Two days before we freed up his future, he told me his daughter needed braces and him and his wife were living paycheck to paycheck, and that he'd had an interview for another job. Knowing this, I discussed with the other project manager letting him stay on until he found a new job, but in the end it was decided he had to go.
I think of all the heartburn this asshole caused me and I'm glad he's gone, but I sure hope he's doing okay.

Yeah. Its called compassion. (I am not messing with you or criticizing you). When you have a heart and see through the pain that is beneath the behavior of a lot of people it becomes hard to just write them off as human garbage. That is a good thing. It keeps us from marginalizing and killing others. Sorry guys. I have just been really feeling it. Not because of this thread (I have been rooting for Mark to have peace in his neighborhood, too) but because it is so easy to say things and believe things that marginalize others, turn people into paper fit for burning. Sorry. Some political person running for president just said that hurricane Irene and the east coast earthquake were messages from God that Washington needed to stop spending. What, 40 people died so far from the consequences of Irene? What kind of person would believe in that kind of God? Sorry. Ranting. Will stop now.
