Quarantine haircut jam

I'm in need of a haircut and my barber is closed until further notice. I'm gonna have to do something. Thinking about a buzz cut, which I could handle since I own a pair of clippers. Or maybe I attempt a normal haircut but use buzz cut as my fall back if it doesn't work out.

What are you guys doing?

Just gonna stay in bed and grow my hair to end the war.

Scissor cut mine last night straight from the shower (except for the back). Just grabbed some clumps while it was wet and trimmed an inch or so.

Not too shabby....

I haven't been to a haircut place since 20010 or thereabouts. Clippers and a pair of scissors. You don't need to buzz just remember measure 1once and cut twice or is it the other way around....anyway clippers is where it's at.

Shaved head, long beard. If I got fat, lost the eyeglasses, and dressed poorly, I would make a pretty convincing biker.

Because you ate them.

This is definitely the most likely story. When DbBob was going through some hard times and had to crash in the Flamencology Family Guesthouse for a few months, he’d get the munchies, walk across the property, and raid the fridge in the middle of the night. We had to put a lock on the pantry to keep him from eating the kids’ school snacks.

I've been cutting my own for the last few years to save money, and because I do a better job than most of the cutters/barbers I've been to.

my wife cuts all our hair. went with mohawks this week.

it would be well over $100 for myself and just 3 of my 4 kids to get a simple haircut. that is a hard pass in my book.

years ago my hair was down to my belt (no kidding) but after an extended island hopping vacation I cut it all off when I returned home to Dallas.
Being on the beach when it's 90 degrees, with looooong hair, just got really old, really quick.
Been cutting my own hair for years now so, I don't go to the barber, hair cutting joint, etc.
Hey Lisa; thanks for all the perms back in the 'big hair' 80s :party2:

Of course, I cut my long hair a few months ago and now my hair is a mess. I was going to buzz it, but I decided to just let it go until this is over. Maybe I'll just let it go long again.

I just buzz down with a number 3 every couple of months. I'm balding and hide under a hat 99% of the time so I mostly just don't care anymore.

I've been doing it myself since maybe '03 with clippers. I've got a long buzz now (maybe 1/2" guard all over) but I usually pull off a passable adult haircut--1 1/4" on top, 3/4 on back and sides. I've got a pretty uncooperative head of hair, so pros can't do much better than I can, and I hate sitting still, so getting out of Supercuts was a good move for me.

Myself does it with no 1 clippers since I don't know when. Did hair and beard last week after way too long. Feels AMAZING, especially after a shower.

Meh, my ponytail is just a little longer.
My son's hair, however, is a rat's nest right now. I may have to break out the Flowbee and clean him up a bit.

My barber has gone rogue and sent an email out that she's doing housecalls, but I don't want to support this getting-around the shelter in place order. I can understand the desire to do it on her part though, and I'm going to buy a bunch of informal gift certificates and get plenty of haircuts when she can legally open her shop again.

that said, I am getting near the breaking point where I cut mine myself too. Will probably attempt scissors with clippers as a back up; not excited about the clippers option, as I tend to look like I'm recovering from chemotherapy with a short buzz cut
