In your department? No way. She could be your supervisor someday. I always kept my office romances to other departments. Or, in the case of my wife, their roommate.
 
Maybe she just wants afriends with benefits type of deal. I'd go for it and play along as long as you don't think it will interfere with your jobs.

The horror stories I hear on here are from people banging their co-worker in the break room (don't do this), don't harass somebody if the relationship goes sour (don't do this either), and just plain old being stupid.

Start as friends.

^^^Pretty much this. To elaborate, she could serve as an excellent wingman while out and about. Women tend to avoid the lone lurkers, while the opposite is true for men with a female companion. For all you know, she could be using you for said same purpose. Have fun! And of course, keep us posted!

Clarification about the same department thing...we have the same manager, but different supervisors. Out jobs aren't related. The other thing is everyone works from home about 90% of the time so I rarely see anyone on the office when I'm there. Yesterday was the first time I had seen her in two weeks. But yeah, I am wary of shittin where I eat, so to speak.

She's really independent, maybe she does want a friends with benefits situation. If so, I'm takin the "straight to the pooper advice". :embarrassed:

And if anything its fun hanging out with a smart, gorgeous woman and having some great beer. Definitely taking this sloooooooowly.
