I like EMGs, but not on that gold top guitar. I think if it had the original zebra buckers on there it would look better. If it was stock, I might give it a go.

I'm kinda like Kerouac in that regard.
I usually don't change 'em unless they break.
but that's more of a money & availability issue in my case.
I used to change em often.

never had a big hassle with the Floyd changes.
I mean, yeah, it's more work than a hardtail, for sure.
but not all that bad.
and I keep the allen key taped the back of the headstock

I just can't ever seem to get them to sound how I want then to. Other guys get great sounds out of them, but I just can't.

Also, I ALWAYS forget to pack batteries.

but my only real experience with active pickups has been with a bass, not a guitar.

They're a metal thing and we don't have a lot of metal guys on here.

You might. They're very tight and very high output. But they're also very even, which really helps with a lot with fast riffs moving from string to string.
