But your lessons are an absolute asset to any forum, and as I don't stand to gain anything from linking to them, the reasoning they gave for you to stop is..somewhat moot.

I've heard Strings refer to Marks postings as 'spamming' for his site before... Other than that, I can't remember any other people getting bent out of shape for it.....
i don't believe this was from Strings. it was most likely from the Electric Guitars forum. there are a couple of forumites over there that seemed personally insulted when people left EG to come here. i'm pretty sure everybody in GJ is cool with Mark. well, except for ButtHurt Muffins.
I do appreciate it...I would imagine they would still have a problem with it as spam, though.

A term used by vBulletin forum software to define its 'global ignore list'. Administrators of a forum can choose to put a user on this list. Their posts can be viewed by themselves, but all other users do not see their posts on the forum.

Yeah, I stepped down because I'd served my term and some of the special forumites were really pissing me off. Instead of fight with them about whether I should be allowed to moderate Crab_Cake's asinine threads, I just stepped down. It's better this way.
