The Never Ending Gig Thread!

Looks like a fun gig either way.

As for the muddy pickup. Have you tried messing around with the height Mark? My Deusenberg's neck pick up sounded like a blanket was put over the amp until I moved it closer to the strings then it started to sing.

Yeah...Tele911 suggested it a few days ago and that helped but not completely fixed the problem.

Sweet. Just remembered the place I'm karaokeing tonight has an in house system so all I need to take are some pens and request slips

it was great getting to meet you in person and catch the first set! I did not think you started too loud. in fact I was wanting a tiny bit more guitar during the rhythm portions of the first song. but I always like mucho guitar in the mix.. Some really nice stuff! Loved Wind cries Mary , Going out with him, and every day I have the blues especially. great to chat too and Derek had fun too. he said you kicked his instructor's butt. hope to do it again some time!

Thanks! It was cool finally meeting you in person too!

The rest if the night has been me forgetting songs I've played for years. I think maybe the stress of the week finally caught up with me. U can't believe some of the mistakes I've made tonight

One more set to go.

Note to self - don't cut back on the caffeine on Friday gigs.

Having a better night than
Last night. Amazing what a nap and a big ass energy drink can do :embarrassed:

With the exception of one song we played a completely different first set than last night. That was fun...

it was better when we were there, huh? Lots of drunks over there this afternoon already. not th beet but nearby. we had a great day over there starting with a surf lesson early. felt a couple rain drops mid day. thought about you playing again but headed out too early to say hi. 9 sets over 3 nights makes for a long weekend I sure. I hope it finishes up well. :)

Yeah. Last night was the best night though. Tonight everyone is tired and the drunks are drunkier

We had a pretty good gig last night. We finally got into a venue on a very happening street here in Nashville.

We weren't in our best form, but it was a good venue, and the crowd was into it. I was anxious since I hadn't had any rehearsals or gigs since redoing my LP with the Jimmy Page mods, and I wasn't all that confident in all my EQ and level settings.

I really need to get someone to start taking video of our shows. They're so useful in promotion and self-improvement.

I was pretty annoyed that the sound guy convinced me to turn down my stage volume and then he wouldn't put my guitar through the monitor. So I decided next time we play there, I'll use my new Line 6 board and a powered wedge monitor for myself. I'm tired of relying on sound guys for my monitor mix of my own guitar. I want to be drenched in my own guitar. :embarrassed:
