Same here, and I can count the number of times I've done so on one hand. Usually it's something mundane like a 6-pack of strings or something...
Like today's 4 pack of XLR cables!!!

Dean guitars has an interesting history. Zelinsky started the company as a teenager and was selling custom guitars to stadium-filling rock icons. Now they're basically considered entry-level instruments. The wheels must have really come of somewhere along the way.I don't know about you, but when I think of quality, subtly-styled acoustic guitars Dean is the first name to pop out of my mouth...

I had one of those cases - almost bulletproof.$100 off a Gator Les Paul plastic case with TSA locks is a hell of a deal. But I don’t travel and I have the Gibson case that came with my Les Paul so I reluctantly pass.
But is it baggage handler proof?I had one of those cases - almost bulletproof.
I love my MIK Dean Paramount basses that I bought new for $250. But why did I get them new for $250? Because nobody trusted Dean to make a good bass at $500, which was still an incredibly low price for a nice MIK instrument.
That looks to be about the same size as the Vox mini-guitar that's up today. (18.7" scale length )
They are part of Armadillo Enterprises. From what I know about them, they like to suck the soul out of a company and just try to make money. They basically pushed Yvonne DeVilliers out of Luna Guitars, the company she founded. I don't think the quality of the guitars changed much, but Luna no longer has the heart that made them special.Dean guitars has an interesting history. Dig Gary crushing on a luthier!
In fairness to Guitar Center they’re much better under the new CEO. Instead of a store of beginner gear there’s lots of high end stuff right out on the floor where you can play it. My understanding is that most of the stores now resemble the stores they used to only have in wealthy towns like the Scottsdale store. The drawback is that if you need a practice amp they might not have anything in stock; when I bought my Ampeg bass amp last week I had to go mail order because everything they had in stock was high end.Okay.... I have to cut MF some slack. I still hate them for killing Woodwind and Brasswind and for turning the guitar centers into cookie-cutter Walmart-for-Musicians...
