Give me something to watch on Netflix

21 Sarfarosh is cool if you like military epics. It’s a 21.5 hour (65 episodes) Indian TV drama about the Indian equivalent of the battle of Thermopylae. It’s subtitles, cheesy and there’s some really bad dubbing, but if you can accept that as the cost of entry to Indian TV it’s pretty cool.

I finished up season one of this, and it has been one of the funniest things I've watched on Netflix. As a 58 year old man, I feel a bit skeevy watching 16 year old girls behaving badly, but it helps knowing that these girls are all at least mid 20s. It also helps that my favorite characters are the jaded, probably agnostic nun and the dad.

If you watch it, turn subtitles on. The Irish accent is so thick, it's hard to understand what's going on.

It really is. Everything about the show is brilliant, particularly the casting, and setting the show against the backdrop of The Troubles is genius. I've been recommending the show to anyone who will listen and I can't wait for the next season.
 
Been watching the second season of the Punisher. It's okay, well made at least. The inclusion of the three main new characters is a nice touch and well casted, but Russo's character has taken this whiney little bitch turn that I don't like (maybe just the actors portrayal of his mental state). Also, the baddies around are starting to have a faceless ninja quality to them that we've had enough of after the Hand.
 
Bandersnatch is awesome. Maniac is really good. I've been binge watching The New Girl with my wife. I think it's hilarious.

The lead character is kind of annoying. She plays pretty much the same character she plays on Orange is the New Black.
 
Watched Await Further Instructions last night. It started off promising and then disappointing (to me) climax and ending. I don't want to spoil it so my suggestion is give it a watch. It might be your thing. Definitely has tense moments, I just didn't like "The reveal"
 
We watched a few more episodes of Russian Doll. I'm getting drawn in, but I'm going to be pissed if this show doesn't deliver something interesting.

I've been watching it all day. My daughter has the flu so I stayed home with her. I'm really addicted. Starting the last episode now. It better not leave me hanging.

Ok. Finished Russian Doll. Absolutely loved it. Your mileage may vary but to me, damn good story.
