Give me something to watch on Netflix

Just finished Ozark season two. I liked it better than the first season. My wife would have hated it, but that's why I watched it alone.

We are watching the second season of big mouth. Not impressed so far. It has lost its spark.

I couldn't make it through the first season. I was bummed, because I loved the League. I figured a show with Ruxin and Rafi would be great.

So, let me get this straight...

Iron Fist sucked, but not so bad that I wouldn't have watched season two of there was nothing else to do. Then he was literally the very thing that fucked up the Defenders. I mean, THE MoST Stoopid, Falling for tricks we see coming a mile away, that everyone else tells him not to do dunnbass, so I sort of refuse to watch season two. Then, I watch an episode of Luke Cage s.2, don't like it, but think maybe, just maybe....

And then I find out Danny Boyle is a part of that as well.!?!?!

He better not show up in Daredevil s.3.

Oh hell no he better not.

S3 of Daredevil is flawed, but it’s a hell of a lot better than S2 or either of the two canceled shows. It’s not great, but it’s better than simply ‘not boring,’ it’s actually entertaining. It’s one of the better Marvel/Netflix seasons.

I keep saying that these shows succeed and fail on the basis of whether the villains are genuinely distinct and engaging personalities vs. hordes of identical masked ninjas and yellowface masterminds.

That's good to hear, and no Iron Fist. I finally get Karen Page back into my life and I have to be afraid that he pops up.

And yes, I agree. In the marvel universe as well as in my sex life, I'm tired of the Hand.

Is anybody else just getting burned out on all the good TV? I’m at the point of just not picking up any new shows because there are so many and I can’t keep investing time into what amount to eight or twelve hour movies.

As complaints go, that’s not a bad one to have.

I watched both seasons. I thought the plot was fantastical (as in unbelievable at times), but the quality of the cast pulled the whole thing off. I especially liked the young redneck girl. I expect to see her in many films or series coming up in the near future.

The redneck girl was in The Americans and recently Maniac. Yes she is a talented actor.

Yeah, we started the Americans a month or so ago and it was awesome to see her in that show. We haven't started season 2 of Ozark, but she really steals the show in the first season, one of the best characters on TV IMO.

I watched Room last night. I liked it. Cried a couple of times, just a little. It's quite moving. To me at least.

We started watching the British series Wanderlust (not to be confused with the Rudd/Aniston movie of the same name). I generally like Brit TV, but I can't really get into this one. Not recommended.

I really liked it, a lot. Though as someone who has been going through a divorce this year, it hit close to home.

I like this show a lot. Jason Bateman can do no wrong these days. Yes, it's basically Breaking Bad with Hillbillies, but as already mentioned, the cast is tremendous and really give the show it's own unique identity.

At some point, they need to bring in Gerald McRaney. He is a perfect fit.

I’m really enjoying Chilling Tales of Sabrina.

I’m biased because it’s filmed here and populated with friends and former students.

But it’s fun self-conscious teen horror that does a great job of walking the thin line and not falling into teen soap opera traps.

I think that @Peen Simmons would probably enjoy it quite a bit.

started watching altered carbon. it's a been a looong time since I've read the books, but I'm enjoying it so far. definitely eye candy, and scratching that super nerdy shadowrun thing from my misspent youth nicely.
