Question: Which katana?

Not loud, but scary
I had a high speed wobble on one.
Brown trouser time.

Obvious choice is obvious.

You either get a Hattori Hanzo, or else you should just stick to acoustics.

I messed with a Katana 50w.
It sounded good, but not an amp for me.
Too many fiddly bits.

For home playing I'd look into a Fender Super Champ XD.
A Vibro Champ XD might be worth a look too.
I've got a Super Champ. It does everything I need for home use.

I don't know if you can find it any more, but Blackstar made a core 20 watt head. I have one and if you hook up 2 cabs you get that wide stereo sound. Plenty loud for home use. I tried a 50 watt Katana at a store, I was under whelmed. But maybe I did not give it a fair try.

Correction - The Blackstar core head I was thinking of is 40 watt. 20 watts per channel.
