Velcro or zip ties to attach pedals?

That won't stick to the velcro that's already on the pedals I've bought used :embarrassed:.
I was just giving an option. I don't care if you use it or not. If you choose to use it then of course you would remove the Velcro, use something like Goo Gone to remove all the glue residue, then clean the oily Goo Gone off with rubbing alcohol. You would do the same thing to the board. Then you would apply the tape and then it would stick.

I've always used velcro, but have been thinking of going to zip ties. My problem with velcro is I've had the velcro stick to the board and peel off the bottom of the pedal when I go to move it...and it's happened more than once. It's especially bad on pedals that have a rubber type coating on the bottom. The glue side of the velcro just doesn't seem to stick to it very well. And then there's the issue of pedals that have feet on the bottom. Zip ties seem like they'd solve a lot of those problems, but maybe create more? I dunno, haven't made the move yet.

Yeah, Boss pedals in particular have issues with Velcro. I bought a bunch of flat plates that I replace the bottom with on Boss pedals. Makes it much easier. For the ones with the little rubber feet, I have a plastic putty knife I use to remove the feet. They go back on easily if you need to put them back on.
