Let’s Get Obtuse!
Where you weirdos going this year? Any trips in the offing? Gonna hit up a cruise boat and binge free soft serve? Gonna climb a mountain? Gonna ride a Greyhound to Cincinnati?

I’m doing a 2-week stint in Japan in June. A few days in Tokyo and then the rest of the time visiting friends and huffing fresh air in Hokkaido. I’m hoping we can visit THE HOKKAIDO CHIPMUNK WONDERLAND, but it’s on the other side of the province and I’m not yet certain where all we’re gonna venture.

We’ll probably do a food-oriented walking tour in Tokyo. And I’d like to visit the owl cafe because that’s pretty wacky. However, the rabbit cafe in Sapporo was less than wonderful when we went a couple years ago. Who knew rabbits could be so abusive?!

I also have a work trip to Vegas next month. But that’s work and Vegas sucks so...
 
So far, I'm going to the F1 race in Austria this summer. I might hit Norway or Iceland, and the wife and I are debating which to go to and when right now. We might also head to Oman or Qatar. We also have a bunch of local trips planned that are driving distance in central Europe.

I get a stupid number of vacation days, so it is a challenge to actually use them all.

Was tentatively planning on going to Italy, but that's no longer on the board.

No plans, now :(
 
We were supposed to visit my in-laws in SoCal twice this year....but that might be down to once. Aside from that we might (maybe) go to Skate America (international figure skating competition) in the fall depending on where it is (changes every year and the location is not announced yet). But we are firmly on the debt killing train so not much travel at all. Hopefully we are debt free (except mortgage) by the end of a year.

We kind of ripped the arse with it in the past 18 months -

St Lucia
Amsterdam
Montenegro
Vegas (twice, 2 weeks and then 1 week)
Bali and Jakarta
Costa Rica

At this point we only have Jamaica lined up for July but we'll end up booking something else either for April or October, possibly both - I want to go back to New York and check out Chicago, she wants to do San Francisco or Thailand. We'll see.
