Your favourite song by Tell the truth and be honest for once in your life, when's the last time you had a nice hearty salad

i'm having a nice summer salad....right now.
hearts of romain, cut strawberries, pineapple, blue cheese with a rasberry/pomgranite vinegarette dressing.
mmmmm!!!

I can heartily eat any salad as long as its drenched in a good dressing.

Or I can just shove it all into some bread and have a huge scooby snack.

I went on a huge salad binge last spring. I almost ate salads exclusively for maybe 3 months straight then I had my kidney stone episode and upon research saw that high amounts of green leafy foods could potentially be cause for a certain type of kidney stone. I'm not saying that was the case because I never went to the doctor or had labwork done to find out the type I had but it scared me off too much ( I was eating lots of spinich based salads) so I stopped for a long time.....now I got back on the 'wraps" because they be cheap, filling and healthy overall (well the tortillas not so much) but basically a salad in a burrito....hummus or Tzatziki , tomatoes, one or two slices of turkey meat, red onion and some chees and arugula which I had two of yesterday so....

TLDR....yesterday

I don't recall when I last ate a salad but I talk about making one on a regular basis. Does that count?
We have a vegan place here called White Rabbit that has incredible salads but it's pretty pricey so I don't get there often. Last time was easily last year or before that.

I eat big salads regularly enough to not take note. I, in fact, ate something from Sweetgreen yesterday. Though it was technically a “warm bowl” because I opted for a little bit of quinoa with my greens.

I know quinoa is supposedly healthy...... I just can't do it. Tastes like eating at the beach when fucking sand gets in everything and you're constantly chewing grit that you can't see. :embarrassed:

About 2 hours ago. I have a salad with some kind of protein on it for lunch every weekday. It’s not especially exciting, but it’s a good healthy habit I’ve been doing for years.

I’ve gone through every conceivable permutation of salad, and I’m bored with all of them. But I don’t plan on stopping.

Im 44 yrs old and a healthy weight for my height. People always comment how Im so lucky to just magically stay thin(ish) even as Im getting older.

No bitch, it’s a lot of running and salad

My new friend and co-worker took me to a place called Sweet Green for lunch and I got something called the "Harvest Bowl" and well it is like they put a whole harvest right in my bowl, what a clean taste. OK? Is that OK with you? When is the last time you had a salad like this? Where was it? Was it good? It's just a salad ok?
Probably make the 4 to 5 nights a week. I’ll boil about 4 pounds of chicken and then cube it for wraps. In addition I’ll use for chef salads too. Easy to turn it into chicken salad too.

Dinner a couple nights a week will just be BAS: big ass salad. I finely chop lettuce to shred it, tomato, sweet onion, carrots, raisins, cranberries, asorted nuts/seeds and a hand full of shredded cheese along with cubed chicken. I dice it all by hand and don’t care for the bagged salad stuff.

I do most of the cooking so with a regular meal I put out a simple salad of lettuce, tomatoes, and whatever is handy with some vinegar and olive oil.

I just made a salad with chicken, chickpeas, pickled asparagus, and pecans for lunch. Probably because of this thread. Although I had a beet salad at a fancy restaurant this week, too.
