Suggestions for low watt tube amps

So why not just download Ampkit for your iphone, get an iRig adapter for 39 bucks and there you have it. The models are peavey valveking with some pretty good high gain presets ready to go.

We talked about it, I think I'd really like to have the amp itself, I may still try the irig thing though.

Why exactly are you looking for a low watt amp?
Are you unhappy with the tone of the 5150 or have people told you the age old "ah that's way to big an amp if your not gigging, you need a small bedroom/home amp"?

Lots of guitarists play big master volume channel switchers at home and manipulate the preamp volume/master volume balance to get good practice level-volume tones. Plus you can toss a boost or drive pedal like a Barber Direct Drive on your clean channel to get other tones w/o a major rig overall. Just something to think about.

Im not unhappy at all, I love it but I need something that I can play at auchincloss lower volume causeway of the time I can't play till really late night. I've listened to lots of demos and seen that some these low watt amps have controls for bedroom levels or late ought levels I'll call them. I will always love my 5150 till the end, lol. Plus I'm just wanting something different that I can really drive at lower volumes. = )

Headphones and modeler or software is a very nice option in that case. Both of my low Watt amps are still loud

Several of the one I'm looking at you can go from 5 or 1 watts to .01 watts. It's really hard to tell what I'll do in the end but if I can I'll avoid headphones.

Another question, head or combo

The head, for sure. That way, you can pair it with a 1x12 for smaller rooms, or a 4x12 for bigger rooms. I'd even bet that 5 watt head with a 4x12 would be loud enough for some practices/gigs, unless your drummer is a gorilla.
