Question: String ends

What do you do to your string ends ?

I bend them up and trim them flush to the top of the tuner.

On my Floyd Rose guitars, I string them backwards and leave the balls at the tuner end, then trim the length at the saddle end.

I use D'Addarios, so I have to trim one end or the other anyway since there's unwound string beyond the point where the winding ends.
 
They look like nose hairs when not trimmed. Nobody wants to look at that.
I use locking tuners,I think they only need an 1/16" extra from the post.
