Well, Im Dave Aronow. Im 45,I live in Tampa/St Pete Florida, been playing or noodling with various instruments since I was 5, and very seriously since I was 15, about 1980 or so. Started doing my first paying gigs at age 16 and have pretty much stayed busy since then. I have about 15 hours on stage just this week alone. I am a musician that mostly makes a living from playing, writing, recording, publishing, producing scoring music. I also love tinkering/building/modding gear, or designing, building pretty much anything, really. I am very into small craft boat building as well. I spend ALOT of time on Harmony Central, but have recently discovered this site and am really liking it here.
some stuff I have done with music includes playing for approximately 15,000 hours on various instruments, at least half of those hours on Bass, which is my primary bread and butter instrument. Thosands of those hours have been on stages either in rock type situations, clubs, Arenas, festivals, or in concert halls with various traditional orchestras.
I play hundreds and hundreds of hours a year on stages in various groups and configurations playing bass guitar, piano, keyboard, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and violin/fiddle.
I spent my early preteen years playing classical Piano and still to this day condider my musical Heros and Gods, not people like Henrix, Page and Van Halen, but people Like Beethoven, Brahms, Paganini, Rossini, and then there is the God of Gods, Johan Sebastian Bach.
Grew up in a house with my father, a professional NYC big band Musician with Glenn Miller type music blasting through my house whn I was a kid. Love most things jazz too, especially big band WW2 era stuff.
I have been exposed to HUGE amounts and varietys of music and out of all my friends and acquaintences, I have about the most eclectic and diverse range of musical tastes as anyone I have ever met. I can pretty much fing the good in abnout any music, and like just about any genre you can immagine. Basically, if there is a tone and a pitch produced, I have probably been musically influenced by it in some way.
I played in hard rock/ metal hairbands buring the mid-late 80s early 90s, and pretty much lived that scene playing in most of the Cities in The US during that time.
mid 90's I played in a band Produced and Founded by Brian Johnson of AC/DC in which he did all the promoting/writing, and although he did not front the band, at all our live shows, the last encore would be an entire set of AC/DC songs in which Brian would comne out and front the band. Those were some of the more wild gigs of my career.
I have done varios projects for Radio and Television and corporate advertising campaigns and have done original Theme music for Television shows including "Jack Hannah's Animal Adventurtes" which has been airing worldwide for well over a decade now.
My primarey band these days is a hard edged modern country band called ADRIAN RAY and The A-Train band and we have been playing pretty hard and Heavy for the last couple years. Look us up if we come to your town.
I am not a person that takes myself too seriously. like to crack alot of silly dry jokes the humor comtent of which is debatable, but i can assure they will almost always be immature.
Anyway, that is pretty much what I am about. Hope to get to know some of yall better coming up.
Ill update this post with links to various projects for anyone interested.
