So, um....can we have introductions from all the new guys?

...I'm Coda, I hail from the village of South Jersey (The Jersey Shore show is NOT South Jersey, thats north jersey)...Ive been here a while now...before all those refugees from the HC 2.0 scares...this is a great community, and Phil takes some great walks...but to be honest, the only reason I came here...:weindog:...

Hi. I'm Chili. I like food. Usually food that's bad for ya. I have 3 daughters, which means I live with all women. I also work with all women. The estrogen levels get to be entirely too much most of the time. I like teh metulz. I'm a Penguins fan. I'm 32. I used to post a lot in GJ and dont anymore. Um.

...BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! GO FLYERS!!!...

I'm Mark, from Delaware, and I've been posting on HC since 1998. This recent upheaval is like the one that happened in 2001. Many of the regulars might leave, but the site will keep going with new people.

In the meantime, it's good to see so many familiar faces.

I'm Mohsin, or Mo or whatever..:embarrassed:

I'll be 45 later this year ..happily living with my GF who is an awesome singer, no kids. I work for a UK Asset Management company, that is owned by a large American Bank..I was probably responsible for the financial meltdown.

I'm pretty much obsessed by music and guitar stuff in general....have been since I was about 11 or 12. I record music pretty regularly, either pop stuff with just Lisa and me, or something a little more, er, unusual with a drummer friend. The more unusual stuff is probably a type of prog punk...odd, complicated to play and very short. :embarrassed:. I've always wanted to be in a highly technical heavy metal band with Beatles type vocals..but never got round to it. :(

<- Dylan....I like guitars and most everything related to guitars & the noise they make :)

Hi, I'm Marcus

I'm 39, I'll be 40 in Sept. Engaged, no kids, one shelter cat, and too many fish.

I'm in the Texas Army Nat'l Guard. Deployed right now. I'm in the S-2 shop at Battalion (Intel).

I play mainly steel-string acoustic here, mainly classical gtr and cello at home.

I miss Tex-Mex.

Where are you deployed?

Lol. Maybe? Anyway, my geek knowledge doesn't transfer well. I tried to set up a MIDI recording thing in the late 90s, and it was a disaster. I never managed to record anything and I wasted a pantload of money on various MIDI crap that is in a closet somewhere. I understand it had become much easier (and cheaper) to do these days, and I have played around with the idea of getting one of those cheap USB type guitar interface devices. I've seen them as low as 20-30 bucks.
.

You'd be surprised at how easy the new generation of computer-based recording gear is...especially since you're a Mac guy.

totally deliberate. i knew somebody would pick up on it. though, i did think it would be Chihli. :embarrassed:

And naturally I had to find the most extreme example to torture you guys with

I am Chase. I am a 25 year old student working towards being a surgical physician's assistant. I am from Florida but am currently living in Virginia for school. I have been playing for about 15 years or so off and on but more seriously for about 8. I am a strat guy and am going to see the Drive by truckers on thursday

I wear jeans and sneakers

I also recently got engaged. (pics upon request :embarrassed:)

HI EVERYBODY!

I'm Scott. I'm a pretty crappy guitar player, but I'm really, really good at buying them. I've been a member here for a few months, but only started posting with regularity after the HC2.NO catastrophe. My other obsession is secretly hidden within my username.

I live in DC, born and raised in NC, and have also lived in FL and VT.

:weinkhan:

you like heels

Truthfully, you'll learn I'm not very good at keeping that a secret. It's been the worst year imaginable. I mean, we lose in the NIT finals and dook wins it all? That's worse than a nightmare. But, there's always next year!

Names Ray. I'm 63, retired, married to a great woman. I've got 3 kids & 4 grandkids.
Interesting thing about my family...my youngest daughter & my oldest granddaughter are both graduating from college next month. One with a BS/microbiology, the other BS/RN. both with a 3.7gpa over 4 years. Yep I'm proud of both them girls.

I've been building/teching guitars for about 10 years.
I'm a chord chunker type player, with a great interest in different chord voicings, although I've recently signed on with a great teacher & am working on chord & scale theory, triads, doublestops etc.
I play rhythm guitar in a 5 piece that does 60s/70s british pop.
Also I write & arrange my own original songs, which is probably where the greater part of my interest lies.

Other than the family, my shop work & playing, I'm into growing my vegatable garden each year & puttering around in the yard.

I'm real glad to have found this forum, in light of what's happening over at that other place where I hung out for the past 5 years.
