We'll be flirting with icy roads tomorrow, so I better take the laptop home. The local road crews have no reliable way of dealing with snow and ice here, and most have no idea how to drive in it in the first place.

I spent 2 hours shoveling waist deep drifts out of my driveway after paying to have it plowed yesterday. I'm not amused.

To put this in perspective - a few weeks ago I went outside to throw a dead rat in the bayou, and I accidentally locked myself out of the house. I had to wait like an hour until my wife got home.

If I had been in Manitoba, I would have died of exposure! :eek:
 
It's 11 right now, but the 20+ mph wind gusts make it feel like -3. It was so windy last night that I need to check for fallen siding before I leave for work.

I love it, even if I have to keep the thermostat around 63. :(
