Interestngly, I've been a prog fan for years, and Kansas had that one song. I've never seen anyone list them as a big influence, anywhere over here.

They were of a time and place. You either stayed and listened to classic rock radio for the rest of your life, or you moved on. They're still playing to the first group.

It's interesting, because prog is very much alive here in Euro-land. Noone over here ever lists Kansas as an influence though.

New York is one of the safest cities in the world. The total number of crimes is high compared to most US cities, but the per-capita crime rate is low.

I know Kerry Livgren and Dave Hope were really into right wing religion. But Kerry is sick and I don't think Dave is with them anymore. My guess is poor ticket sales. They are still making money off of stuff they put out in the 70s with a different lineup.
