Achtung! Post unpopular music opinions that you have

While none of the music in this thread could really be said to be popular as such, there was a time when some of it was and it is therefore not really delivering the opinions on unpopular music I was very clearly promised and I am now disappoint.

In our household, free-jazz is the go-to unpopular music, from Ornette Coleman to Sun Ra, you (I) put it on and you (I) will be cordially invited to put it the h*ck back off with no delay.

since this is now a thread about unpopular opinions about 80s thrash,

south of heaven is the best slayer album

It’s not really an unpopular opinion, a lot of people I know think this.

Anyway, just thought of one:

Jake E Lee > Randy

Unpopular and music are adjectives for opinions. This thread is about unpopular opinions of the music variety.

If what you're saying above is that your household opinion about free jazz is unpopular, then you're OK. If you brought up free jazz because you think this thread is about unpopular music, then you misread.

I'm here to help.

people tend to talk up reign in blood as their peak in my experience, but yeah, it's not all that uncommon of an opinion.

Reign in Blood is just iconic (and to it's credit, the opening and closing tracks are great).

I was always under the impression that Sgt Pepper is The Beatles best album and was surprised to find out that it is not that uncommon to find people that thinks that while it is an iconic and important album, it it not their best.

Music sucks. Plastics are the future.

The Monkees, with their being in your living room every week and making the musician life look so dang fun, were just as influential as the beatles in the explosion of bands in that era of time.

That Milli Vanilli album was a super tight, well-performed and extremely well-produced example of late 80's electronic R&B.
That's not unpopular opinion. They won a Grammy fcs.

Just because they handed it to the wrong dudes doesn't mean it wasn't good for it's time and genre.
