Did I miss something earlier in the season? Did they all fall asleep like Rumpelstiltskin during the lockout? What's with all the massive facial hair? Are they gonna shave now? Enquiring minds want to know?
You dont watch much hockey im guessing?
Not on TV. I cancelled the cable a year ago. I've attended several Blue Jackets games this year. The lockout kinda dulled my interest this season, during which we lost Nash and got a new GM, so it took a while to get geared back up. I did grow up watching the Hawks, but for some reason they don't get much coverage here in C-bus.idn_smilie
So I'm guessing it was a thing. Too lazy to research it. Help a brother out.

no playoffs (sorry cheap shot I know)A playoff beard is the superstitious practice of a National Hockey League player not shaving his beard during the Stanley Cup playoffs. The player stops shaving when his team enters the playoffs and does not shave until his team is eliminated or wins the Stanley Cup. The tradition was started in the 1980s by the New York Islanders.[1] The tradition is also practiced by nearly all North American hockey leagues, to include high school leagues and the NCAA hockey teams, as well as minor league affiliates.[2] The tradition has also spread to hockey leagues in Europe and is practiced by many fans as well. According to some observers, one may trim the beard after a loss in an effort to change the team's luck; Jim Dowd and Roberto Luongo were such practitioners.[3][4]
There... is... no... more... hockey on to watch.![]()
