Official 2012 football thread

Arrghh!! I just realized that Troy Aikman is the commentator for the Seahawks/Redskins game. Bleh! Maybe I can find a different audio feed online and turn the tv sound down.

I like him better than Chris Collinsworth.

The Chargers front office announced yesterday that "most" season ticket prices will not be raised for the 2013 season...

Meaning some of them will.

They are coming off a third straight season of failure and mediocrity, they have no GM, no head coach, no idea how many 1st string free agents will return, and already have the 8th lowest payroll in the league and the 8th highest ticket prices.

They couldn't sell out home games as it was, and have lost a fuck ton of TV revenue because of it.

Meanwhile, they continue to ask the local taxpayers to help them fund a new, BIGGER stadium.

There is no facepalm big enough...

I've decided my annual team to adopt after the Bears are out of it. Vikings. If they lose, I'll move on to the 49ers. I don't necessarily make my pick for who I think will win, just love watching AP run over people.

My best guess for who will go all the way is the Packers.

Surprised that the Skins Hawks game is so close after that first quarter. Got to be a great looking game. Hope RG3 is ok.

The Seahawks needed to find themselves for a while but got going in the second. A few passes caught rather than dropped would have made the win more convincing. Hopefully they will tighten that up. The D did well starting in the second quarter. Having RG3 hobbled helped but I think they would have got it done even if he was healthy. No offense much at all for the 'skins after the first, and no points. Had RG3 been healthy I think we would have had to catch those passes.

Interesting factoid...Peyton Manning has never won an outdoor playoff game when the temp is below 40...

...it's 15 degrees in Denver...

This is a great game. I have the Ravens +10. So we'll see. I also have the under, which with 35 points before the half, doesn't look good. :embarrassed:

No, the under is 46. I thought because of the weather and all, it would be low scoring.

Either way, this is one heckuva game. Imagine there might be a superbowl with the Harbaugh brothers? wow.
