I was contemplating slapping some heavier strings on it this weekend, but I think I might wait until I get ready to swap the pickguard and/or pickups.
 
HNGD!

I've wanted to like Jags/Jazz's but most of the ones I've played haven't had the best playability. The one exception was the Kurt Coabain model I tried, that was a very nice guitar, albiet $1200.

I don't think the fun really starts with Jags and Jazzmasters until they got some 11s, 12s, or 13s on 'em.

What specifically do you mean by "playability"? They can be really tricky guitars to get set up right, but once they are...

Or did you mean the whole vintage neck radius deal on classic-style ones?
