Sweet! I can't listen to it very loud but the guitar is beautiful...is it all custom? I don't know much about his guitars./..

Condensed version in bold for your convenience

Yup. When Brian makes my guitars, I pick out all the parts (in this case: Warmoth neck and body, Joe Barden bridge, Graphtech saddles, Tusq nut, Kluson split shaft 18:1 tuners, BG prototype bridge pickup, Fender Re-issue Wide Range Humbucker w Telenator mod, whatever knobs) and have him pick out the appropriate pots, caps, and such... but there is ALWAYS a 3-way LP style pickup switch. I've permanently adopted it as a standard for my customs, just like the 18:1 Klusons and at least one BG... then he puts it all together and ships it my way.

Cool! I dig Klusons, too...I have them on pretty much all of my guitars including the Suhrs...

And for good reason, Mark. Klusons are pretty much the perfect design with killer vintage looks.

So, in the meantime... the few phases the guitar has gone through on the way to becoming what it is now.

Too bad this finish was shit. NOT Brian's work on the finish. AT ALL. Want to make sure that's clear. Here was the original plan. Got so discouraged at how this turned out that I put this whole project on the backburner for months.

Then my lady helped me pick this body out after dropping the sparkle idea altogether. Candy Apple Red.

Then I made a last minute decision and asked Brian to paint the headstock black.

Brian didn't like the black graphite nut. He wanted to put on the tusq. I trust his judgement.

Oh there will be some serious pics, clips, and I'll probably film another cover soon. Either "The Feel Good Drag" by Anberlin or "Between the Lines" by STP.

You know how I feel about Masons...that is super badass! I remember mine showing up on Christmas eve. I just played a gig with it and it is my go to guitar. Mason's rock.

Are those your wife's?
