New Joe Perry Signature Les Paul?

Your Worst Nightmare
I saw this in the latest Musician's Friend mailer.

Seems like the rundown is:
- a single EMG in the bridge position
- some kind of Chandler tone control/wah knob thing
- one volume knob
- Wilkinson vibrato bridge
- rollers in the nut
- 59 neck profile

Google is failing me. Any other info out there?

It's based on a custom shop guitar he has (his tech shows it in their "rig rundown" on premier guitar) apparently it also has a thinner body as well...no idea when it's coming out...

It's on the cover of the musicians friend holiday catalog. That's all I know.

And Joe has played and sounded fine every time I've seen them live.

I thought it rather amusing that they had a whole article that focused rather significantly on that guitar that was nowhere to be found for sale! Makes me sort of wonder who's steering the ship at MF?

Other than the EMG, which I don't really have an opinion on, the specs have me intrigued. It will most likely be very overpriced, unfortunately.

I haven't actually looked at the catalog. It's still laying on the kitchen island where it's been for the past week or two.

Eventually it will take root, become part of the countertop, and then spread...before you know it you'll be living in a gigantic mutant Musician's Friend catalog...

It even says it in fine print at the end of the article -- "guitar not available yet", or something similar.

There is a picture of the custom shop version of that guitar he had made for a tour on his Facebook page. The pickup is a Gibson burstbucker pro. The tremolo is a Wilkinson. The guitar is supposedly thinner than a normal LP to have a lighter weight. The knob looks like a concentric dual lug, so volume and tone on one pot?

I've seen a couple different versions of this guitar, one with a black speed knob and one with the stacked knob. They might be one guitar where the knob/pot was swapped, or it might be two different guitars. Either way, they are both Joe Perry's tour guitars and made by the custom shop.

In the youtube video from Premier guitar you can see the guitar with the black knob is a carved top. You can also see how thin it is in this angled pic. The carve looks like that of an LP, but looks like the contours are shallower than a normal LP.

A Gibson Burstbucker lowers the suck factor by 10.
Add another pickup and normal control setup and we have a winner.
