I agree about the Burstbucker, but I'm kind of irrationally favoring the single pickup for some reason.

I'm sure it works fine for him but I use the neck pickup a lot more than the bridge. That'd be a pretty expensive niche guitar for me.

I saw him live once and his tone was an absolute garbled, mess.
Of course, that was before he was using this guitar, but generally speaking, his playing was so sloppy that I doubt it matters much......

But consider me jaded. Perhaps this thing sounds like sonic dynamite in the right hands.

I actually dig the whole layout philosophy. With the exception of the EMG. But put a Burstbucker in there and it works for me. Overall, I find it a bit refreshing. I'm so tired of the zillion LP layout guitars.

And although I'd agree that BW is a great player, I haven't heard JP be all that awful. Then again I've only heard/seen Aerosmith concerts on TV.
