NBA Playoffs?

The whole "The Celtics are even with tha Sixerz!" narrative is nothing more than ESPN Boston-hate and crass attempts to create stories.

I wouldn't give a shit, except that after closing out their (whiny, exposed) opponent in five games, all of the media coverage is on Philadelphia. Are you fucking kidding me? The Celtics get Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward back next year. The officiating was a joke (albeit only favoring Embiid, as repulsive a sportsman as he is wonderful as an athlete). The Celtics didn't even play as well as they did against Milwaukee. And they beat them in 5 games.

If I were Brad "Didn't Receive One Single Vote for Coach Of The Year" Stevens, or Terry Rozier, or Marcus Smart, or Tatum or Jaylen Brown I'd remember this very, very clearly, and let it bother me for the rest of my career. And take it out on opponents.

"Accurate" works.

What's so "insufferable?" Would love to know what you find inaccurate there.
Morris shot like shit, Rozier held the ball too long (nervous), Embiid literally flops his way to a bunch of FT attempts, and ... you lose in 5.

But the lead with "Boston fan" says it all; people are jealous. I don't know what to tell you - for 20 years, we were Loserville (worse than Cleveland by a good stretch, due to Buckner / Bucky Dent / Yvon Lambert / etc.).

Arrogant? I don't think so. I have plenty of bad things to say about the Bruins, and the Red Sox are a total mirage (if they finish 3rd, and go ahead and write it down, then they got lucky).

Brad Stevens getting - wait for it - ZERO votes for coach of the year. Perhaps you have mistaken Charles Barkley for Paul Pierce (understandable, as most current Sixer fans didn't start watching basketball until February), but he described that as "a travesty."

So, wondering if you're just going to use "Boston fan" as a slur, or back it up with some reasoning.

Ah heck. I might as well pull for the Celtics, even if just in memory of Larry. Would kinda like to see Celtics vs. Warriors and then pull for Kevin Durant.

I dislike Boston teams as a rule, and I’m not a fan of Durant since I thought that his signing with Golden State was incredibly lame. So I suppose that I’d like to see a Cavs vs Houston final, though that would be extremely unlikely.

Why lame? As I have not really followed the N(o sonics)BA closely any more, I don't know.

MVP switching to a team that had just recently the most winning season in NBA history and won a championship? He deserves 10X more shit than LBJ did for going to Miami.

Ah. I see that. But from another point of view, if you are a Tour overall contender but did not have a team to help keep you at the front of the peloton, you might want to change teams. Besides, Oklahoma sucks as compared to Northern Cali.

Changing teams is fine. It’s where he chose to go.

Celtics have so much heart. Last night was just mental toughness and effort.

World is beginning to see what C's fans (I'm a pathetic internet streamer out here in the 'Q) have seen since Feb/March: they're not "promising young players" any more. They're damn good players. Rozier hasn't even had a good game yet. Wait 'til people see him do what he did in Q3 for a whole game.
