Thought you guys might want to see it, its pretty cool. He built it on a home made frame he bent and welded up himself. It has a Buick 215 ci aluminum block V8, its quite impressive.

Yeah, its a looker. Has an electric winch on the front, the thing can pretty much go anywhere a 4X4 can. And it can really scoot too. AOK

Yeah, he did a good job on it. The engine is interesting, Buick and Olds experimented with aluminum blocks in the early 60s. When his engine was disassembled, you could basically carry the whole block around with no trouble at all. Power to weight ratio is really good. They stopped making them due to the expense of manufacture, even though it was cool cast iron was much cheaper to make.

Jealous - Mine is sitting in the garage right now with a battery charger on it for the winter. Of course it's just a VW without the fancy engine.

Does your boss match this badass nature?

No, but my boss is a tinkerer. He loves building projects. He has tons of patents, he just likes to create stuff.

Yep. hahaha.

He is actually my cousin in law. I have known him WAY before i ever worked for him. I built my sandrail in his backyard when i was much younger. He and i have been to SCORE off road races down in Mexico, we worked the pits down there once for a race team. He's a good guy. As a boss though, he is a massive micromanager, so i want to choke him half the time. hahaha. But we survive.

Cool!

I bet it's nice to have a boss that you are related to...

But it's also gotta kinda suck at the same time...

Yes, and yes. hahahaha.

What do you need to do to get something like that inspected and emission inspected out there? I would think that would be the tough part.
