I'd wait for the new Minis to come out and then buy the current Gen one on closeout.
Thats a thought, too. It really comes down to whether or not there is an appreciable difference in the new ones.

I have had no issues with Vista and still use it - recording and everything else. I won't be changing to 7 until I have to get a new computer which maybe next year. We use XP at work so for those I can't really say much on that.
I've just heard so many people have problems with device drivers and whatnot with Vista. Exspecially for folks who upgraded from an XP machinne.

Still VERY cool. My other criticism is HDMI out only, but I don't expect it will be long before that's common. I think you could use a traditional monitor with the right cable on the Thunderbolt connection if you needed to.
I think they come with a HDMI to DVI connector cable. My guess on the HDMI is apple try to position this in the media server PC market, as apple TV has been kind of a failure for apple.
Actually, the lack of an optical drive doesn't bother me for this particular machine and I want it specifically for the HDMI but it looks like if I want to run two monitors I have to buy their Thunderbolt display, which is a deal breaker. I wonder if they have some sort of thunderbold to DVI adapter.
