Just a reminder about the Terms of Service here.

If I put a moderator on my ignore list, does it neutralize his powers?

Or does it just make the banhammer a stealth weapon?

Feel free to give it a try. You may not be able to do so. I honestly have no idea what would happen. I haven't put anyone on ignore, including some of our former members who have been banned, because it is my job to read their crap. I have a button to ignore posters, but I have never tried to use it.

No way. If I'm going out, I'm going out in a blaze of glory with a dramatic multi-page goodbye thread in which I name names and air grievances. It's not going to be the byproduct of some sort of forum science experiment.

I'm sure that I'm on the ignore lists of many PRS-loving forumites. And those who appreciate prog and/or metal. These tend to be sensitive and awkward people.

My ignore list is completely empty. I even listen to the racists.

I too have an empty ignore list. Not that I don't sometimes wish I hadn't read a particular post, but shit happens. People make mistakes, life goes on.

I would hate to miss out on an entertaining or informative post or thread because I was too butt hurt over a momentary shitfest.

Hell, some of the people who at one point or other would have been top candidates for the ignore list have turned out to be some of my favorite forumites.

Then there's Baimun...

I had one person on ignore back on HC. Never had anybody here on ignore. Still, I have no idea what the dust up was all about.
