Man. Sweetwater is all over HC. I made a comment one time about a delayed order. I got a call from my service rep in less than 30 minutes. It was freaking creepy since my legal name isn't actually jaxn slim.

Eh, I like Sweetwater, they actually seem to care, which is nice, but I'll admit I'm not the kind of person that gets a sales person's radar up.
 
I love Sweetwater. Too bad Musician's Friend couldn't give me a $100 credit there instead. :lol:

I called them when I was looking into buying ProTools, told them my needs (project studio) and the guy was like "you need Pro Tools HD, the hardware and a Mac Pro." Then he called me at work a few weeks later to try and hard sell me. Not to mention that it probably takes an acre of forest for them to print their catalogs.

I got a good price on a guitar there after the wechter disaster (although to be fair, it was a pricematch and I would have gotten the same price from M123) but at least they did try to make it up to me. My biggest problem with sweetwater is their shipping sucks. I've placed 3 or 4 orders from them and not a single one shipped when they said it would. They also don't provide direct tracking info so you can't call the shipping company yourself, you have to call sweetwater if there's a problem. I had a problem in which an order I placed never arrived even though sweetwater said it shipped. I waited..and waited..for sweetwater to call me...they said they were going to call fedex and call me back to let me know what was going on. I waited..and waited...for that call....and a couple days later there's a knock on my door and it was someone who lived about 3 blocks away and said that fedex left them a package that had my address on it. I went to pick it up and finally got my order. That was about 5 months ago. I'm still waiting for sweetwater to call me after they check with fedex....

And the rest of my orders weren't much better. They tell me it'll ship Friday so I'm eagerly expecting to have it for my gig the next weekend...it doesn't ship till tuesday or wednesday so I have to wait another week to use it. They tell me it'll ship Monday..again, I figure I'll have it for my gig..., it doesn't ship till thursday or friday...another week lost. Screw that. Lately I've been ordering from M123 and AMS. Both of them ship either the same day or the next day. I'll still order from sweetwater but they're pretty much last on my list right now.
 
btw, sweetwater does troll the forums and has a good idea what screennames belong to which of their customers. When the whole wechter thing was going on, I was waiting for a call from my rep and it took so long I bitched about it on HC. Within about 5 minutes of my post I got a call back.

Nice. I've only bought one thing from them (a recording interface) and I got really tired of the rep calling me. I usually use AMS myself..

yep same here although it stopped long ago but that is why I'll never buy from Sweetwater again. Way too much customer "service" for me. I thought I might have to get a restraining order. I buy one guitar from them and it's like they never left me alone. The calls finally stopped when I dropped my landline and went cell phone only.
