Is this winter starting to get long for everyone else??

I have learned something about myself, I enjoy the brutal heat of Vegas summers, and am looking forward to it.

It was 11 degrees and lightly snowing yesterday. Below 0 on the porch this morning. I will take that, though I want some more snow to come in, and that generally means it warms up a few degrees.

We got around 10" last night. We also had 30 mph winds so we are drifted in for the 6th time this year.

I'm waiting for Mr. Plow right now. The snow is shoulder deep in front of my garage.

It is also so tall where they have been plowing that I have no idea where they are going to put the fresh stuff. Fuck winter in its meathead Justin Kanye face.

If the ridge that has been over the west coast all Jan shifts then we on the left coast will finally get some rain (we have this week) and east should warm...some :embarrassed:. That ridge was driving the jet stream way up over the arctic and then plunging it back down into the midwest and east coast with cold air...add moisture from the south and you get cold with lots of snow

Good news is the ridge has retreated and Norcal is poised to get as much rain in the next 4 days as we have in the last 1 year possibly (and hopefully). Bad news is the models want to re-establish the ridge into next week meaning back to Jan weather (yes I'm a weather nerd :P)

At least 1/4 of ice on everything this morning. The roads were a mess and power lines and trees were all sagging pretty low. I lost a bunch of branches off of the trees in my yard. I'm going to have some cleanup to do this weekend, but it's supposed to snow both days. Yeah, I'm ready for Spring.

You don't have to shovel it or drive in it. Your opinion is invalid.

Agreed. Most of my friends that live in apartments love so because it's "so pretty". Horseshit! It's a major PITA. People that love snow generally aren't responsible for moving it.

We got about 7 inches of snow here in Chicago last night. I am so fucking sick of this winter.

Yes, because I never lived in Buffalo for five years, have never stepped in an ice puddle up to my knee, and don't have to deal with traveling in a city ill-equipped for any more than a foot of snow per year.

Snow is a fact of life in cold climates. Deal with it or move. Just don't complain about it.
