Incredibly specific pet peeves

people that walk normally into a store but then use the shopping cart like it's a fucking walker, leaning into the thing and dragging their soft stupid bodies through the store. these people should be shot in the head after checking out and paying the bill.

While I certainly don't condone lifted 2wd trucks, I'd say with a lifted 2wd and locked dif, you'd get most places a stock 4wd would.

Maybe in certain parts of the country but out west with steep rocky hills , off camber many times, etc then slow and in control is necessary unless you got no regard for life and machine. Steep poor traction climbs or rocky sections, primarily.
A locked rear does make a big improvement but still is not as good as a pulling and pushing wheel combination , also say for instance your front is in a good traction spot and the rear is in slop, with a front and rear (even open diffs) then you have at least one wheel going (unless you're crossed up and a wheel is in the air , then you need eith a true locker or a lot of wheel drop like a disconnected solid axled sway bar front end on a Jeep or similar vehichle).

But really without a compound low there are just so many places you can't go in a 2wd locked rear end , the exception might be a diesel with a granny gear underive stick but most come with automatics nowadays and still it's not as low as a 2.72 transfer case which is what most come with these days. But again if you got no regard for machine then you can always mash the pedal, cross you fingers and hold on.

Womens' salons, usually in rural areas, that have bad play-on-words names.
For example:

The Mane Attraction
Curl Up And Dye
A Cut Above
Sugar to Spice tanning salon
Etc

I guess its not a pet peve actually...but I cant help giving a giant  whenever I see one
The salon where my wife works just had a vote on a new name. They passed on my suggestion of "Blow and Go". Oddly, a couple of the older hairdressers loved the name and was pissed that the owner rejected it.

I hate it when drivers try to scoot around you using the right-hand turn lane. Too many a-hole drivers in the DC/Baltimore area.

anything hipster.

the use of the word "literally" in almost every sentence when in fact there is NOTHING literal in any of the sentences.

When you post an incredibly specific pet peeve thread and people post stuff like "people who can't drive".

The use of quotation marks for emphasis.

On another site I read, commentators are always going on about how they adore such-and-such movie, adore this album, adore this actor. I don't know why but the word adore just drives me nuts for some reason.
