Reporting the post(s) would be more helpful than trollingly laughing about it in a different thread.

Meh. Reporting is for fragrant abuse, IMO, like porn, bigotry, pure bullying, etc.

This isn’t a huge forum. Most of its membership is 40+ in age and has been corresponding for at least 10 years, some close to 20. I can’t really think of any instances where conflicts were resolved through thread-locking.

If I had to guess about the ‘behind the scenes’ world, I’d assume that the forumites who report threads the most are those who are among the most problematic and volatile.

Never said locking the thread was the solution.

Honestly, the number of reports HERE is almost nil. When I was over at SDUGF it was a couple times a week. Since I've been moderator here all the reports have been legitimate. You guys are actually really easy to moderate, to be honest. LOL

The reason I ask for reports is because, honestly, we're still human and there is enough content here that we can't read every single post and may miss something.

That’s why I always save my most offensive content for opera and international music threads.

The one thing I'd like is...don't bring the trolling/failed "humour" into other perfectly reasonable threads. Rev's cover band thread is a great example.
Not every thread in the lounge has to be reddit style meme-fests.
