Help! I need song suggestions for the next Recordingfest!

I just did "doll" by the foo fighters, and then listened to the original. It turned out to be a one minute joke song, so I might try another one.

In it's most simplistic form maybe...it all depends on how you approach it...if you're looking at it as a "oh, this guy's a pop musician so the song must sound a certain way" then you're limiting your options...if you look at a chart just as words and chords and let your mind suggest all the other aspects (instrumentation, tempo, melody, harmonies etc) then it's much more involved...

As with any challenge, your approach defines the outcome...
