Help! I need song suggestions for the next Recordingfest!

The next Recordingfest (due December 1, 2019) is a special one...it comes from a suggestion from @eloydrummerboy

The challenge is to take a song you've never heard before and, using a chord chart like the one found here:

...record whatever your interpretation of that chart is...

This is not an easy challenge, and I'm hoping at least a few people take a shot at it...But I need a list of songs for the participants to chose from...

Whether you intend to participate or not does not matter, but I would be grateful if you could submit a song idea or 2...ideally you would also be able to submit a link to a chord chart similar to the one I posted above...

I'd like to have a list ready by the end of August, which will give people 3 months to work on their submissions...

Any suggestions will be appreciated, and I thank you...
 
Submitting chord charts is easy, is there something thematic or otherwise specific you would like? I'm not planning to participate, but if I submitted something, should it be easy or hard or confusing?

Just obscure?

So throughout the recording you will still not know what the song sounds like? A melodic blind date. What if halfway through the project, Rickenvox drives by blasting the song and laughing? That's actually a pretty cool idea. Maybe a Drake list is in order. Apparently nobody here knows his songs. In an ironic twist we can make his songs sound like songs from The Beatles. The first song suggestion is off limits to me. I refuse to use a capo. I do want to learn to translate capo songs into non capo songs. Lots of barres huh?

wow....this is a pretty eclectic crowd here. coming up with something no one has heard before will be a challenge.
or maybe it should be "if you've heard the song before, don't choose it to record".

Yes, precisely this...its the eclecticism of this crowd that I'm banking on...I could (and probably will) put up a list, but it will be my taste in music, so I need other ideas as well...

I'm honestly just hoping for a half-dozen or so songs from the more obscure end of people's preferences that can be provided with the proper charts...that's all...

Yeah, or maybe we should just post the chord charts without a timing signature or song name. :shrug:
 
I'm going to do a foo fighters song. I've only heard three of the songs (the first single, the one with the airplane video, and My Hero). There's tons of chord sheets, and it should be pretty humiliating for me, since they're well known around here.
 
Sounds interesting and potentially hilarious. I'm in! I'll think of some songs folks here aren't likely to know and submit them over the next week or so...
 
I found this in my downloads folder, but I can't recall why it's there. I don't know this song.
