I Just ordered an Agile LP!

Over The Top
So long story short...I've been looking really hard at these the last few weeks and yesterday I bit the bullet and ordered an AL-3110 HSBF. I gotta say I'm super excited. Everything I've read about these things have been positive and I can't wait for it to get here.

Good luck.

I had one when they first hit HC and it was ok.

I wanted another guitar with an ebony board..plus I prefer the MOP inlays to the abalone but I don't know why I was gassing for it so much either. I need another guitar like I need a kick in the ass.

When the craze first hit HC I went through three of them. I had a HSB just like that and it was a damn nice guitar. I don't think you'll be disappointed with it. When they used to have the storefront in Jersey I visited there a couple of times which was cool.

The only Agile I've ever played is my 335 copy. It's a pretty nice guitar, especially considering the measley $300 in cost. I replaced the pickups, pots, switch and jack, but even the stock ones were okay...just a little hot for a 335 style guitar, IMO. Other than that, I gave it a setup and that's about it. I've used it for a bunch of recordings.

Chihlidog here has one, and loves it. :thu:

EDIT, nope, sorry. He has a Xavier. :embarrassed:

After some discussions over at HC I just really couldn't resist. I have an Epi LP as well. After this thing comes in I'm going to choose one to bring to work with me....this way I can be even less productive.

I had a student who bought one a coupe of years ago and I was really impressed with what he got for the money spent....

My favorite of the three I had was a semi-hollow 2800. It had an exceptonally comfortable V neck. I gave it to my niece when she started to get interested in guitar.

Agiles are solid guitars and I am sure that you will be well pleased. On the old H-C forum, i guess I was a fanboy back in the day. The ONLY complain I have ever had about the Agiles is the weight...they can really be heavy, as in the 12 lb range. The stock pickups are a bit muddy to my ears anyway.

It arrived Wednesday and while it is really heavy, I think it's cool to have a non weight relieved LP. The attention to detail is pretty amazing too...overall I'm very impressed.

I don't get the issue with heavy guitars
I mean, if it was 35lbs, fine
but 10?
not a biggie, I'd cope.
a couple pounds ain't that big a deal, IMO.
if I have to wear 8 lbs or 10 strapped to me, it's gonna wear me down either way
and the 10lb won't wear me down and faster so as to make a difference.

hope yer enjoying yer new guitar!
