He made it!!!

Though is 'official' race is over, he's doing the last 100 miles in one go to make it all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. I think he'll be one of only about 40 people to ever do that.

When you are that close - might as well go the rest if the way...

They made it to the coast, Finally! And the air conditioner in their RV brokedown yesterday while he was doing his all out 100 mile run to the coast from Annapolis! Regardless he made the 100 mile run in less than 24 hours and his wife and kids survived the miserable drive. Now they get to head home to their house with a broken air conditioner.

At least they are happy and healthy and DONE!

After all he did he does 100 miles that fast....

I guess he just wanted it to be over with. The man is a machine....:thu:

When we ran with him through Charleston, he was doing an 8 1/2 minute pace. We went up to Burnsville (his hometown) that weekend and did a 5k that he also ran (in addition to his 33 miles later that day) and he won his age group.

He's come a long way. About 2 years ago, I paced him on the last 4 miles of his first ultra, and was barely moving then. I doubt I'd be able to keep up with him for 4 miles now, even if he'd already run 36 miles.
