100 days ago, Paula's classmate and friend, Jamie Summerlin was dipping his toes in the Pacific Ocean in Oregon. Today, he was dipping his toes in the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. His official goal is done tomorrow when he runs into the Air Force Stadium in Annapolis, MD, but no, he's gonna do the last 100 miles to make it all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.

All of this was done for the Wounded Warrior Project, and Jamie and his family have given up a lot to do this.

Congrats to Jamie, and hopefully the WWP will gain a lot from this.

He averaged over 34 miles a day, and didn't take ANY days off for rest. What a warrior.

That is absolutely mindboggling. To have the discipline, will, and fitness to be able to do that is simply amazing.

BIG props to him, and a great cause :thu:

Jamie rocks!!! An amazing feat, and as a vet and the Dad of two Marines I am very much in agreement with why he did it.

That is very cool. My cousin rides has ridden his bike from the east coast to the west coast and back. His last trip, he ended at my house and he had to go dip his front tire in the Atlantic when he got here to officially end his trip. I thought that was kinda cool.
