WTF: Gibson files first infringement lawsuit

Sounds like Gibson is being run by Moe, Larry, and Curleigh.

You sure?

Actually, I like Trogly's channel. He usually has oddball Gibsons that he buys, dissects (measures the neck, takes out the pickups, etc to look at the top, tenon) then he puts them back together, plays them for a bit while talking about them.

Gibson fanboi for sure, but in his opinion the only parts of the lawsuit that might stick are the SG one (Dean's 'SG' is only a couple of years old) and the Luna ones.

On the Luna front, I don't think they have produced those electrics in many years; they currently have no electric guitars on their site. As for the Hummingbird, that is one of a series of guitars that include the Dragonfly, the Phoenix, and The Dragon, along with the Flora series with various flowers. It seems to me that the headstock is the biggest possible violation, but that is stretching things, especially since many acoustic headstocks look similar.

Watched this morning till he was done talking about Gibson. Best part for me, at around 2:40 in this video, he is playing the Agnesi video, camera is panning down a gold top. See how nice the pickguard looks against the neck pup. Then against the bridge pup.
