I don't go with that propane shit, you can get a Weber kettle charcoal grill for about 60 bucks. Everybody always complains that it's a hassle to start the fire but if you get one of those charcoal chimneys it fires up in ten minutes.
Plus, I think my regulator is messed up because my grill has started smoking a lot. I need to figure out what's wrong with it before grilling season starts again.
That happened to mine a couple of months ago. I had run a propane tank dry and there must have been sedimenbt on the bottom of it because it blocked all of the tubes. I blew the whole thing out with my compressor and cleaned the burner and it worked great again.
A proper grill man owns a gas grill and a charcoal grill.

Here's the thing about smokers. Good smoked meat requires constant temperature. Down south, you can buy a cheap one because it never gets too cold and your temp will not fluctuate much. Up north, you need a really high quality insulated smoker (thicker metal, etc.), and that can get expensive. The Brinkman would be great for down here, but might not perform well during the winter up north. It seems to be made of about the same material as my New Braunfels smoker. If it is, it will be a pain in the ass to smoke in the cold.
I don't have a patio to put it on, and my driveway is the kind that has the rocks laid down, but it's been so long ago that weeds and grass kinda grow up in it during the summer too, so no flame there.

We need to ask......WWTGPB? (What would The Gear Page buy?)![]()
