Blues/Country Board May Get Overhaul - Again...

Got a chance to add the TC Flashback to the board yesterday and get some practice in as well before eating dinner and heading to the gym. My goodness this pedal smokes! I may need to get another one for my other board (all purpose and flip the CC, no Aquapuss for me at all). The combinations of the Wampler and the TC is fantastic. Kick in a boost here and there and it is magic. The Wampler is just way too awesome and I no longer have the squish anymore. Now I just need to improve my chickin' pickin' ala Vince Gill and Brad Paisley with a twist of Jerry Donahue!

Eventually I will get around to doing a demo of my board. Just busy with other things and life.

thats a pretty killer setup.

Thanks Mark and Adam :thu:

3 TCs, 3 Xotics, and 1 Wampler

The man knows how to pick them!

Two years of acquisitions, testing and trialing - I love it! I guess I buy pedals like you do guitar

Gotta fix up the all purpose board now. Don't have much to change out though. Just gotta flip unused items (not pictured).

Planning on flipping the MXR's. First will be another TC Flashback. With the Dynacomp, I will flip but don't know if I will replace with another compressor. Besides I have my BYOC to finish painting. I also sometimes use my old MXR Phase 90 in there. The Tuner will remain until it breaks as it is too difficult to flip that with all the great tuners out there.

 I should take and post a photo of my pedal collection.

Yeah, I'd keep the Boss tuner until it breaks. In fact, that's the same approach I'm taking. You getting rid of the Carbon Copy? Not digging it?

Right now it'll be the Dyna Comp and CC. I have couple others but not sure if you would be interested in these ie: Boss Heavy Metal Pedal and a Boss Acoustic Simulator. Considering flipping my Zakk Wylde OD as well - don't use it. I have even contemplated my EH Memory Man too.

I got rid of the OC3 since I wasn't using it but on one tune. Not nearly enough in a 4 hour show to justify the space it took up on the board. I know plenty of other ways to fatten things up for single note lines.

Also, I find that I pretty much never want/need/use the reverb pedal since getting the Aqua Puss. There's some sort of delay or echo that I can dial in for any given tune that I always seem to like the sound of more than the reverb that might be on the original track.

I might bump it off too now~

I like the CC but it doesn't work for my goals of what I need. In the interim 'til it flips, I will use it as it is a great pedal. The 2290 from TC is something that I have always wanted but at $2000 was really out of the picture. When I saw that the Flashback had this as one of the choices - bam I was there. As for why I got the Hall of Fame prior to the Flashback was really application. I use the reverb for mostly blues and the Lofi for short slapback like Mystery Train. With the Flashback I can now do swells (just like with the CC) however I get the 2290 which I have been dreaming of owning. Jaxn - you interested? You know my email addy

Tried it last night. Way too squashy for me. Very interesting sounding though. I may revisit again in the future as I am just enjoying mine on 9V. Now my EP on 18v vs 9v, wholly cow what a difference.

Cool. No thanks. I've already got one on my country board.

What kinda trades you lookin for for the CC? I just traded mine but I can certainly see myself owning another for long/mod delays to use after my Aqua Puss :)

Don't know at this time as I was looking more to sell. Saving money up for an EV ZXA1 powered monitor for solo gigs. I have tons of pedals so that is not a concern at this time. If I did get another pedal it would be another TC Flashback for the big board but not an urgent need at this time.

Sounds good. For now it just has returned to the big board and will be used until either replaced (low on the totem pole of replacement items) or sold. I can always take my TC off the Blues/Country board if I need it.

I got my Paisley Drive today and went straight to the gig to put it on the board. Only experimented with it slightly, but man alive. It's a good'n for sure. It sounds phenomenal and has enough gain and functionality that it replaced two od pedals (one of which as 2 channels). Can't wait to spend more time with it.
